Space epidemy
In the distant future, when humanity had long since mastered interstellar spaces and colonized hundreds of planets in various galaxies, something incredible happened on one of the remote research stations located on the edge of known space. Researchers discovered a previously unknown virus, which they named "Cosmic Plague." The "Cosmic Plague" was not just any virus. It acted like an entity with its own intelligence. Capable of mutating at an astonishing rate, it infected not only living organisms but could also affect technological systems, using them to spread itself across the galaxy. Initially, the virus spread slowly, infecting isolated zones of the station. Each cell of the infected territory became a focal point for further infection. But the scientists noticed something strange: every few cycles of the virus's spread, an unusual function was activated – "Energy Pulse." This pulse revived what seemed to be dead zones, turning them into new foci of infection. Realizing the threat, researchers tried to isolate and destroy the virus, but it was always one step ahead. The "Cosmic Plague" used the "Overflow" property, quickly capturing all available resources in the infection zone and spreading further, leaving behind only the shells of its animate and inanimate carriers. When it became clear that the virus could not be stopped by conventional methods, the scientists decided to resort to a radical measure. They activated the "Purification" protocol, which involved using extreme measures to eliminate the infection in overflowed zones. This protocol was based on creating a controlled quantum explosion that would destroy everything within a certain zone's radius while maintaining the borders to prevent the virus from spreading further. The "Purification" worked, but at a high cost. Part of the galaxy was lost forever, leaving behind only dead space. Humanity realized that the "Cosmic Plague" was just a warning about the secrets and dangers hidden in unexplored space. And although the virus was stopped, the lesson learned by humanity remained in memory for centuries.
